This album was critically acclaimed at the time of its release in 1988, and is still loved for its complexity, depth, and heavy-hitting topics today. Although some elements of this album were criticised, with some not enjoying the barely-there bass or dry mix, the album was nominated for a Grammy in 1989, and won Best Metal Performance for their debut music video featuring the single ‘One’ from this album in 1990.
